1.   The name MACRO was chosen for our company because of three reasons:

2.   It has a short snappy funky name.

3.  The definition of very large capability

We initially recruited IT staff, and a "MACRO" in IT speak means pressing one or two buttons on your keyboard, which hidden to the user, activates a very fast piece of useful programming that comes back and delivers an expected outcome every time. (such as copy and paste) - This is what we do, our client comes to us with a need, does not want to get bogged down in the detail of recruitment, they just want the best candidate fast, every time.

Why our corporate colors?

Since our conception we have used royal blue and red as our brand colors. In early 2008 we moved to an updated logo and replaced our red with a sky blue.

Our Blue
After a survey of over 200 employers, 120 jobseekers and 45 recruiters, it was clear that the color most people associate with the recruitment industry is blue. Blue conveys importance and confidence without being sombre or sinister, hence the blue power suit of the corporate world and the blue uniforms of police officers. In many diverse cultures blue is significant in religious beliefs, brings peace, or is believed to keep the bad spirits away. Dark blue with white was chosen as it is fresh and crisp.

Long considered a corporate color, blue, especially darker blue, is associated with intelligence, stability, unity, and conservatism. A deep royal blue or azure conveys richness and perhaps even a touch of superiority. The combination of a light and dark blue to convey trust and truthfulness — which is paramount to our success.

Removing our Red and replacing with Charcoal
Previously we had red on our palette as well. A hint of red was chosen to represent action as a circle around our M. Studies show that red can have a physical effect, increasing the rate of respiration and raising blood pressure. Red is power, hence the red power tie for business people and the red carpet for celebrities and VIPs (very important people). In some cultures, red denotes purity, joy, and celebration. Red is the color of happiness and prosperity in China and may be used to attract good luck.

We replaced the red in our logo with charcoal grey to represent our growth into a "understated elegance", reputable, and mature company.
